Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the hosted WALink service. The WALink source code is separately licensed under the Apache License 2.0; self-hosted deployments are the responsibility of their operators.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure and be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live. You're responsible for activity in your workspaces, including that of members you add.

2. Acceptable use

You may not use WALink links, QR codes or pages to:

impersonate another person, brand, bank, government body, WhatsApp or Meta;
run scams, phishing, fake KYC/OTP requests, lotteries, or other fraud;
send or facilitate unsolicited bulk messages or spam;
promote illegal goods or services, or content that is hateful, harassing or sexually exploitative;
interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or exceed rate limits by automation.

We may disable or suspend links, and suspend accounts, that we reasonably believe violate these rules. Anyone can report a link.

3. WhatsApp

WALink is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. Click-to-chat links open WhatsApp, whose own terms apply to conversations. When you message customers — manually or via an API integration — you're responsible for consent and for following WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies.

4. Analytics

Analytics report link clicks and related signals measured by WALink. A click is not a message, conversation or sale. Figures such as unique visitors are estimates.

5. Plans and payment

Free plan features may change with notice. Paid plans, when available, renew automatically until cancelled; taxes are extra. Charges from WhatsApp API providers are billed by those providers separately.

6. Availability

We work hard to keep links available, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Ending your use

You can delete your workspaces and account at any time. Deleted short links stop working immediately.
