Good to know
- A payment QR code is a request to pay. It never confirms that money was received — always check your bank or UPI app before handing over goods.
- We check the UPI ID's format (name@handle). We can't verify that it exists — scan it with your own UPI app and pay ₹1 to test.
- Some UPI apps limit payments to personal UPI IDs from scanned QR codes. A merchant UPI ID from your bank avoids this.
- Your UPI ID never leaves your browser. We never ask for your UPI PIN — nobody needs your PIN to pay you.
Frequently asked questions
Is this safe?
A UPI QR only tells the customer's app who to pay. Nobody can withdraw money from you with it. Never share your UPI PIN.
How do I know someone paid?
Only from your bank or UPI app notification and statement. A screenshot from the customer is not proof.
Can I set a fixed amount?
Yes. With an amount, most apps prefill it; some let the payer change it.
Do I need a business account?
No, but merchant UPI IDs from your bank give higher limits and fewer warnings for payers.
