Frequently asked questions
How is selling price calculated from markup?
Selling price = cost × (1 + markup ÷ 100).
And from a target margin?
Selling price = cost ÷ (1 − margin ÷ 100). A 100% margin is impossible.
Is 30% markup the same as 30% margin?
No. A 30% markup gives a 23.1% margin.
