Good to know

  • LINE's documented link is for Official Accounts. Personal IDs may work but aren't covered by that documentation.
  • On a computer, LINE shows the account page only if the account is verified and its public profile URL is enabled.
  • Links and QR codes are built in your browser. We don't look up or store the accounts you enter.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when someone scans it?

LINE shows your account's profile with an Add friend button. Existing friends go straight to the chat.

Why is the @ encoded as %40?

LINE's documentation asks for a percent-encoded ID. Unencoded IDs still work but are deprecated.

Where's my basic ID?

LINE Official Account Manager → Settings → Account settings.
