How to use the messenger link generator

Good to know

  • Meta doesn't support a prefilled message on m.me links, so there's no message box here.
  • The ref value only reaches you if your Page uses a Messenger webhook. Meta notes that referrals may not work for some Android users.
  • Links and QR codes are built in your browser. We don't look up or store the accounts you enter.

Can I prefill a message?

No. Meta's documented m.me format supports only the Page name and a ref parameter.

Does it work for personal profiles?

m.me links are documented for Pages. Personal profile links may work but aren't guaranteed.
